Beautiful setting; this cottage has everything you need for a quiet getaway, superb family walks or as a base for exploring the local area. Booked for a family event at St Peters Church which is just next door. Great views and right on the river Severn. We are familiar with the area and would definitely stay here again. The host, Susie was very accommodating and answered all our queries promptly. Lovely and clean, perfect for us. Thank you so much.

An excellent few days at this delightful cottage .Well equipped, very cosy and lovely decor. Very comfortable with lovely views, peaceful so relaxing. Looking forward to visiting again next year .Fishing was a bonus just one fish caught ..Altogether a wonderful little getaway..

Most beautiful cottage and stunning surroundings. Not felt so relaxed for a long time. All can hear are the birds and occasional splash in the river. Only here for two nights, we will be returning in the future for longer. If you like olde worlde charm plus home comforts and amazing scenery this is the place to stay.

What a find! Perfect just perfect. The cottage had everything you could want, cosy, comfy, warm, you can cook in, eat out (we had an amazing Indian in the Punch Bowl Tavern pub which was around 4 miles away, you can sit in or takeaway). The location is easy to find but the peace and quiet to just listening to the birds or the river was magical also a wonderful sunset right outside the door. We have no complaints and look forwards to returning to River Cottage in the future. Thank You .

We stayed here over a bank holiday weekend recently. The cottage is very charming and clean. It was comfortable, cute and cosy. The kitchen was perfectly compact and well thought out. It was also stocked well in terms of pots, pans and utensils. The bedrooms and efficiently laid out with lovely silky cotton bedsheets. There was also decent wifi (for surfing and streaming iPlayer) and a television. All in all, it was a very lovely stay – it's easy to find, easy to access nearby attractions. We went as far as Portmerion and Snowdonia one day, and at the end of the day, it was great to sit at the cottage at sunset, watching the river and the cute herd of cows across the banks! Would recommend it happily to anyone in the area.

Had a lovely stay in your cosy cottage in the peaceful surroundings of Melverley. The renovation of the cottage is amazing and done to a very high standard and the owners have thought of everything. Thoroughly recommended and I will return.

Loved the place, it's a very peaceful environment, spacious from inside for a family of 4. The kitchen and living room are so cosy and nice. I highly recommend it. be aware of insects, the only thing that bothered me is small lady bugs everywhere in the house. which apparently its the season and there is not much they can do about it.
